摘要:In this talk, I will first briefly introduce building blocks associated with Economics of Urban Transportation, and then report two of my group’s recent research. One of them is to investigate the effects of social interaction information from friends on commuters’ daily route choice decisions (at the micro level).We develop a day-to-day route-choice learning model with friends’ travel information based on the Cumulative Prospect Theory (CPT), and conduct a laboratory behavioral experiment to validate the model. Experimental results show that a larger rate of social interactions in an online travel community does not necessarily lead to a better route-choice outcome for individuals or the whole system. Furthermore, the overall impact of the amount and percentage of friends choosing each route on the generation of perceived travel time may be negative or positive, depending on the number of members in an online travel community. The other is to provide new insights into commuters’ mode choice behavior in a monocentric closed city with endogenous population distribution (at the macro level), where a congested highway and a crowded railway provide commuting services for residents on a linear urban corridor. We explore typical equilibrium mode-choice patterns with exogenous city boundary and population distribution, and incorporate residents’ mode choice into an urban spatial equilibrium model. Using comparative static analysis, we find that the urban corridor expands with the increase of railway fare if both of highway congestion and transit crowding are ignored, but it is uncertain if not. We also discuss the changes of the urban form, utility level of residents and social welfare with different railway fare and subsidy policies. The numerical results show that the distance-based fare policy with low subsidy should be preferred because it can realize the Pareto-improved social welfare and utility level of residents.

主讲人简介:刘天亮 博士,现为北京航空航天大学经济管理学院副教授。本科和硕士毕业于青岛大学管理信息系统专业和管理科学与工程专业,博士毕业于北京航空航天大学交通运输规划与管理专业。曾在清华大学管理科学与工程流动站从事博士后研究工作,在香港科技大学、新加坡南洋理工大学和美国西北大学进行访学交流。现任管理科学与工程学会交通运输管理研究会副秘书长、中国管理现代化研究会运作管理专业委员会委员、中国系统工程学会青年工作委员会委员、《交通运输系统工程与信息》刊物编委。2010年获全国百篇优秀博士学位论文提名,2013年获教育部新世纪优秀人才计划支持。主要研究领域:交通行为与运输经济、交通运输系统分析与运营、物流优化与供应链管理。目前主持国家自然科学基金项目1项,完成国家自然科学基金项目2项、中国博士后科学基金面上和特别资助项目各1项。迄今已在TransportationResearch (Part B、C & E)、European Journal of Operational Research、Transport Policy、管理科学学报、系统工程理论与实践等国内外学术刊物上发表论文30余篇。
